• Make sure the door closes properly.
• Frozen food storage: store at -18°C or
colder. Avoid opening the freezer door
unnecessarily.
• Freezing fresh foods: freeze only fresh
and undamaged foods.
• The following foods are suitable for
freezing: cakes and pastries, fish and
seafood, meats, poultry, vegetables,
fruits,
herbs,
products such as cheese and butter,
prepared dishes and leftovers such as
soups, stews, cooked meats and fish,
potato dishes, soufflés and desserts.
• The following foods are not suitable
for freezing: types of vegetables that
are usually eaten raw, such as lettuce
or radishes, shell eggs, grapes, whole
apples, pears and peaches, hard-boiled
eggs, yogurt, sour milk, sour cream and
mayonnaise. See table 03 on page 9
Recommended storage times for frozen
foods in the freezer
These times vary depending on the type of
food. The food you freeze can be stored for
1 to 12 months (minimum at -18°C).
Never forget
When you freeze fresh food with an 'use
before/best before' expiration date, you
must freeze it before that date.
Check that the food is not already frozen.
In fact, frozen foods that have been
completely thawed should not be refrozen.
Once thawed, food should be eaten quickly.
Making ice cubes:
Fill the ice cube tray (not supplied) with ¾
cup of drinking water and place it in the
freezer. If the ice cube tray is stuck to the
compartment or drawer, loosen it only
with a blunt tool. To loosen the ice cubes,
slightly rotate the ice cube tray or hold it
briefly under the flowing water.
Defrosting the freezer
To save energy, it is recommended to
periodically clean the inside of the cooling
grid by removing excess ice (3-4mm).

Never use sharp or pointed objects or metal
utensils, hotplates, hair dryers or anti-
freeze spray for this operation. This could
cause irreparable damage to the refrigerant
circuit and, in the case of appliances
operating with R600a, become a hazard.
To defrost, proceed as follows:
• Unplug the appliance.
• Allow the excess water to drip into a
container.
• When all the ice is dissolved, collect the
water with a sponge or cloth.
• Clean and dry the walls.
• Plug the appliance back into the socket
and position the thermostat as desired
(see "Control panel" section).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The appliance should be maintained and
cleaned frequently. For your safety, take
out the plug of the socket before cleaning.
To clean the freezer cavity, please, consider
the following notes:
• Unplug
the
electrical outlet before proceeding with
any intervention.
• To clean the inside of the appliance
and accessories, we recommend using
a solution of water and vinegar (one
tablespoon per 2.5 litres of water).
Never use abrasive cleaners, detergents
or soap. Clean the door handles with
water and dry them carefully.
• For defrosting or cleaning, never use a
steam-cleaning machine. Steam may
cause damage to the electrical parts of
the appliance and may short circuit or
damage plastic parts.
Advice in case of inactivity
In case of prolonged absence, unplug the
appliance, empty it and clean the inside,
then leave the door open (to prevent the
formation of bad odors and mold).
Error search and repair
If the inside temperature is not low enough.
