Exposure Compensation by the ASA Film Sensitivity
An ASA film sensitivity half as much as another denotes
that twice the amount of light is necessary for correct
exposure as compared with the other film sensitivity.
With this in mind, you can compensate for exposure by
changing the ASA film sensitivity. For example, when
using an ASA 100 film by shooting against the backlight,
you can multiply four times the amount of light striking
the film for shooting the main subject by changing the
ASA sensitivity scale to 25.
