Figure 31 - Steam generator thermostat
To replace the thermostat for generators from 24 to 72 kW, proceed as follows:
With the equipment off, access the steam generator thermostat;
Disconnect the two wires from the thermostat (1);
Remove the heater protection cover;
Loosen the upper resistance nut and the capillary lock (4);
Remove the capillary that is inserted in the resistance well (2);
Remove the silicone tube that is connected to the resistance well (3);
Remove the thermostat fixing nut, located on the pressure switch support (1);
Mount the new thermostat on the pressure switch support by tightening the fixing nut (1);
Insert the silicone hose (3) into the thermostat bulb until the end of the capillary (2);
Insert the thermostat bulb to the bottom of the resistance well (2);
Fit the silicone tube (3) to the spare end of the thermostat well located on the resistance flange. This
tube has the function of isolating the thermostat capillary from the electrical contacts of the
resistance;
Fix the capillary lock together with the upper fixation of the resistor (4);
Attach the heater protection cover.

12.11 Safety valve check and replacement
The safety valve is located at the top of the sterilizer. It has the function of relieving pressure in the chamber if
there is a problem in operation that exceeds the maximum working pressure.
Ensure that there is no pressure in the sterilizer chamber.
