4.2.2 Mains connection
The control box can be connected to a single or three-phase power supply according to the motor which is used (see Wiring diagrams
page 75). It is essential to refer to the wiring diagrams as a bridge may be required (visible on the diagram).
Use a cable gland for the cable entry of the mains cable.
NOTICE
Ö The power supply has to be secured by an independent all-pole circuit breaker which can be switched off (max. 20 A).
4.2.3 Connection of the pump motor
It is possible to connect either single-phase or a three-phase motors, 50 HZ or 60 Hz: see Wiring diagrams page 75.
Use a cable gland for the cable entry of each pump cable.
4.2.4 Thermocontactors wiring
The Control Box ZPS 2.3 is equipped with 4 control circuits to connect the thermocontactors of the pumps (see 4.2.1 Locations overview):
- TH1 (Pump 1) and TH3 (Pump 2) control circuits: if the pump is connected to the TH1/TH3 control circuit, in case of overheating, the motor
will stop and an error will be signalled. When the motor has cooled down sufficiently, the pump will start again automatically.
- TH2 (Pump 1) and TH4 (Pump 2) control circuits: if the pump is connected to the TH2/TH4 control circuit, in case of overheating the
motor will stop. For the pump to restart, the motor must have cooled down and the malfunction must be reset by pressing the key.
IMPORTANT
When connecting two pumps, the connection to the TH2 and TH4 control circuits is recommended.
The control box must be installed indoors, in a place protected from humidity and frost.
Mount the box on a flat surface, using the diagram on the left.
Remove the front of the box to identify the slots.
