When subjecting the suction pipe to a pressure test, the pressure
connection must not be made at the FloCo-Top-1 unit since the
check valve integrated in the product does not allow the pressure to
be applied to the suction pipe.
Do not include the check valve in the pressure test.

The oil level depends on the operating conditions of the facility and
amounts to approx. 20-50 mm in suction mode. If the oil level is
higher, the float housing may be completely filled with oil if the suc-
tion pipe is tight. This is caused by the absorption of the air through
the fuel oil. Over time, this results in a decrease of the air cushion.
When the operating conditions change (e.g. a decreasing oil level in
the tank), the air cushion is formed again in the float housing.
Since gassing caused by suction is no problem in systems with an oil
pump working in pressure mode, there is no need to use FloCo-Top-
1 in such systems. Instead, a single-pipe filter with return pipe con-
nection should be used in such systems. If the system requires an oil
de-aerator, a FloCo-Top-1 may be used which is equipped with a
brass filter bowl, refer to chapter 8, page 13.
