Notes / Safety instructions
Please read the entire installation manual carefully before starting the
external roller shutter installation!
It is important to follow the instructions of this manual in order to ensure
the safe operation and function of the product. Keep this manual for later
use and, if necessary, pass it on to a new owner.
On a case-by-case basis, the function of the external roller shutter solar
radio may be limited, e.g. when the solar cells are aligned to the north, or
if the solar module is in the shade most of the time.
Subject to technical changes
In areas with snowfall, a snow catching device must be mounted
above the window.
The electricity from the solar module is stored in the battery. If it is
discharged, it will recharge over the course of a few days (depending on
the hours of sunshine).
Check for soiling on the solar module regularly and clean it with water if
necessary. Keep the solar module as free from snow and ice as possible
in winter.
Used batteries must be disposed of professionally. Please only replace the
batteries with identical types!
Keep remote controls out of the reach of children!
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER!
Danger to life from crashing
There is a risk of crashing when working on the installation opening. Work
on the installation opening must be secured and there is a risk of crashing
when working on the roof window in an unsecured position. The roof
window must be secured or unhinged.
Danger to life from electric shock
When the product´s electrically driven individual components are
connected to the power grid, there is a danger to life from electric shock.
The connection line must be switched to voltage-free by qualified electrical
personnel before installation.
WARNING!
Crushing through falling components
When connecting/separating the sash profile and frames of the window,
there may be crushing due to the falling of the sash profile. The sash
profile must be connected/separated with appropriate personnel or aids.
When the product is installed, there may be crushing due to falling
components as the result of...
...the heavy weight of components. Lifting work must be conducted with
appropriate personnel, possibly 2 people, or appropriate aids.
...With unlatched components. Components must be fully latched or
screwed.
NOTE!
Product damage due to force effect
The product can be damaged by a force effect. Force effects can be:
Improper lifting, dropping or impacts. The product must be protected from
force effects at all times.
The seal of the sash can be damaged during the replacing of the sash.
The sash must only be seated on an appropriate base.
PRODUCT DAMAGE CAUSED BY SNOW LOAD
Due to a heavy snow load, the product can be damaged or restricted in
function. In the applicable areas, local construction practices must be
observed and protective measures must be taken, e.g. snow guards.
