While operating the hedge trimmer you observe certain
precautions and procedures of use in order to avoid
accidents, damage and increase the efficiency of the hedge
trimmer:
▪ Do not apply excessive pressure on the hedge trimmer
against the workpiece/object;
▪ When the blade gets jammed, switch off the power tool
immediately. Avoid the high reaction torques that cause
kickback;
▪ Never put the power tool down before the blade has
completely stopped;
▪ Always hold the hedge trimmer with both hands;
▪ Be very careful when cutting small branches or bushes
that could jam the blade or be thrown back at you,
causing you to lose your balance or injuries;
▪ If you hear an unusual noise or the hedge trimmer
vibrates abnormally, stop work and identify the cause;
▪ Never operate a damaged hedge trimmer;
▪ Switch off the hedge trimmer immediately if any of the
following problems occur:
- Grease leakage through the ventilation slots;
- Damage on the hedge trimmer housing;
- Damage on the "ON/OFF" switch;
- If you sense smoke or burning smell.
1. Press the switch on the front handle (4) and the
"ON/OFF" switch (3) and touch the blade to the surface
to be cut;
2. To increase and decrease the blade (6) speed, press or
release the "ON/OFF" switch. The maximum speed is
reached with the switch pressed down completely;
3. To switch off the hedge trimmer, release the "ON/OFF"
switch.
Before starting the hedge trimmer motor, check that
the blade is not in contact with any object.
Do not allow anyone to come close to the machine while it
is running.
Cut the sides first and only then the top.
Vertical cut:
With a one-sided hedge trimmer, always cut from the
bottom upwards. With a double-sided hedge trimmer, cut
in an arc from the bottom upwards and then in the opposite
direction to use both sides of the blade.
Horizontal cut:
For best cutting results, tilt the blade slightly in the
direction of the cut. Cut slowly, especially in thick hedges.
Always follow the safety instructions.
Hedge trimmers should only be used on hedges or small
shrubs. It is strictly forbidden to cut other types of material.
Do not use it as a lever, to move or break objects, or block
on fixed supports.
It is forbidden to install tools or accessories other than
those indicated by the manufacturer. Do not use for
trimming trees or cutting grass.
Only use the acceleration required to perform the work.
Excessive engine speed is unnecessary. Avoid cutting thick
branches as they will damage the blades and reduce the
service life of the machine.
Tilting the blade between 5° and 10° will make the work
easier and result in a more effective cut.
When the machine is used for the first time, grease may
come out of the gearbox, but as there is excess grease,
there is no reason for alarm.
