PRELIMINARY INFORMATION BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION
• Mounting and electrical connection operations must be carried out according to these instructions
and by trained professional personnel.
• Use protective gloves before starting and throughout installation.
• Check that there are no accompanying materials (booklets, equipment, etc.) inside the hood;
remove and store them if necessary.
• The illustrations in this booklet may depict a different look of the product, however, the instructions
for installation, operation and maintenance are the same.
INSTALLATION
• Figure 1: this hood, in ducted version, can direct air both upward and to the rear; in the recirculating
version, air is provided for exit from the upper chimney grate (use the T-fitting not included).
• Figure 2: - CAUTION - Observe the minimum installation height on the cooktop, depending on the
type of cooktop; the hood must be installed centrally to the cooktop.
• Figure 3: remove the tape securing the flitters to the hood.
• Figure 4: remove the drawer containing the condensate drip tanks by pulling it out as shown in the
figure. if present, previously remove the safety tape.
• Figures 5-6: remove the grease filters by first pushing upward and then rotating them outward, as
shown in the pictures - CAUTION - the filters are heavy.
• Figure 7: prepare the holes to fix the hood to the wall, as shown in the figure diagram.
• Figure 8: insert wall plugs (if suitable for the type of wall) and screws, otherwise use a fixing system
suitable for the retaining wall; leave the screw head 13/64" from the wall.
• Figures 9 -10: hook the hood onto the screws, then adjust the angle so that the body is level. Once
the position is adjusted tighten the top 2 screws so that the hood is locked.
• Figure 12: mark the position of the holes for the safety screws inside the hood body.
• Figure 13: remove the hood by unscrewing the screws so that there is 13/64 of air between the screw
head and the wall.
• Figures 14-15: drill the wall where marked and insert the dowels
• Figures 16-17: reposition the hood on the fasteners and secure it to the wall by tightening the screws.
On the bottom, insert the safety screws including washers (ref.6).
• Figures 18-19: remove the adhesive tape securing the electrical system above the motor box, and lift
the bracket to a vertical position, inserting it into the slide catch as shown in the pictures. Tighten the
bracket retaining screws.
• Figures 20-21: break through the knockout on the metal connection box, helping yourself with a flat
screwdriver and a hammer. Depending on your preference, you can open the outlet either on the top
or on the back.
• Figure 22: remove the cover of the electrical connection box and make the connections.
• Page 17 – CAUTION - strictly follow the instructions on page 16 to make the connection of the hood
to the house power supply.
• Figura 24: connect the metal hose to the motor outlet. Secure the connection using a clamp and seal
the joint with piping tape. Place the lower (ref.3) and upper (ref.2) pair of chimneys, one inside the
other, on the recessed seat made on the hood shell around the motor box.
• Figure 26: Carry out the installation of the chimney bracket (ref.5) by going to drill holes in the wall
so that the bracket itself is on axis with respect to the position of the hood. The bracket should be
