If there is not enough air supply, a
negative pressure is formed. Toxic
gases from the chimney or the
exhaust pipe are recirculated in the
rooms of the house.
Ensure sufficient air supply when
using the unit in exhaust air mode
and with a heating source
dependent on room air.
Risk-free operation is possible only when the negative pressure in the space of
installation of the heating source does not exceed 4 Pa (0.04 mbar). This can be achieved
when the air required for combustion can circulate through openings, eg doors, windows, in
combination with an air supply/exhaust unit or by other technical means. An air supply/
exhaust unit does not independently ensure compliance with the limit value.
Regardless of the situation, ask for the recommendation of the specialized staff, who can
appreciate the whole ventilation complex of the house and who can propose the
appropriate measure for ventilation. If the unit operates exclusively in air recirculation
mode, operation is possible without restrictions.
WARNING - Fire hazard!
Grease deposits in the grease filters can ignite.
Never operate the unit without the grease filter in place.
Clean the grease filter regularly.
Never work with open flames near the unit (eg do not flambé).
Do not install the appliance near a solid fuel heating device (eg wood or coal) unless the
heating device has a sealed, non-removable cover. There must be no sparks near the
cooking area.
Hot oil and fats catch fire quickly. Hot oil and fats must be supervised at all times.
Never try to extinguish burning oil or fat particles with water.
Unplug the stove. Carefully extinguish the flames using a cover, fire blanket
or a similar item. Gas cooking zones on which no cookware is placed release strong heat during
operation. A top-mounted ventilation unit may be damaged or catch fire.
Use the gas cooking zones only with a cookware placed on them.
In the case of simultaneous operation of several gas cooking zones, a strong heat is emitted. A
ventilation unit mounted on top could be damaged or catch fire.
Use the gas cooking zones only with one cookware placed on them.
Adjust to the highest ventilation setting.
Never use two high-flame gas cooking zones simultaneously for long periods of time
more than 15 minutes. Two cooking zones correspond to one large burner.
Never use a large burner with more than 5 kW and a large flame for more than
15 minutes, for example, the wok burner.
