INSTALLATION

6. Install the sleeve in the dashboard slot
and bend the tabs back with a screw-
driver. Not all tabs make contact. Bend
the tabs behind the dashboard to fix the
sleeve in place.

7. Reconnect cables and antenna and en-
sure not to squeeze any cables.
8. Slide the unit into the sleeve until it locks
into place.
9. Use the metal stip for further fastening
the unit at the rear. Use the supplied
components (hexnut (M5) and spring
washer) to mount the metal stip at the
rear of the unit.
Bend the metal strip, if necessary.
Use the supplied components (screw
5x25mm and washer) to attach the other
side of the metal strip under the dash-
board. The metal strip doubles up as
ground connection for the unit.
Note: Attach the short-threaded mounting
screw at the rear of the unit and the long-
threaded screw at the dashboard.

10. Reconnect the battery cable to minus
terminal (-). Attach the outer frame and
attach the front panel (see "Remove and
install front panel").
Remove Unit
1. The engine must be switched off; discon-
nect the battery cable from minus termi-
nal (-).
2. Remove the metal strip at the rear of the
unit (if installed).
3. Press the release button on the front
panel and remove it.
4. Lift the upper part of the outer frame and
pull outwards to remove.
5. Insert the two keys as far as possible into
the slots left and right in the unit and pull
it out of the dashboard.
REAR INSTALLATION (Method B)
Observe the following installation instructions
if you are driving a Nissan or Toyota.
Use the holes marked T (for Toyota) or N
(for Nissan) for the screws left and right of
the unit to attach to the standard mounting
brackets of your vehicle.
