INTRODUCTION
These instructions explain the correct usage of the equipment. Only certain tech-
niques and uses are described. The user must always have a solid understanding
and working knowledge of rope based climbing techniques and the ability to judge
safety risks.

1 \ FIELD OF APPLICATION
The Glide Rope Grab is a cam based rope clamp designed to be attached to the rope.
This product must not be used for any purpose other than for which it is designed.
The Glide Rope Grab is designed to protect against fall from height.
Activities involving the use of this equipment are inherently dangerous. The user is
solely responsible for their actions and decisions.
Before using this equipment, you must:
• Read and understand all instructions for use.
• Understand, accept, and assume all risks and responsibilities for all damage,
injury, or death that may result from use of this equipment.
• Obtain the necessary training from a qualified and competent instructor in its
proper use.
• Fully understand and accept its capabilities and limitations.
• The product is intended for normal and emergency use by medically fit, specifi-
cally trained, competent and experienced users.
• You must have a rescue plan and means to rapidly implement it in case of difficul-
ties encountered while using this system.
• A EN 362 connector must be compatible with the equipment to which it is
attached. An incompatible connection can cause accidental disconnection,
breakage, or affect the safe function of another piece of equipment. You must
verify the suitability of this equipment for use in your application with regard to
governmental regulations and other standards on occupational safety.
If you are incapable of following these instructions, do not use this equipment.
Activity at height is very dangerous which may lead to severe injury or fatality. You
must personally assume the responsibility to learn the use and the safety measures
that apply to this equipment. Remember that there is no better instruction than that
of a trained instructor. Train in the use of this equipment, verify that you have fully
understood how it works, and if in any doubt, please ask a competent person! Don't
make any alterations or additions to the equipment without the manufacturer's pri-
or written consent. Any repair shall only be made by the manufacturer. The product
shall not be used outside its limitations or for any purpose other than that for which
it is intended.

3 \ INSPECTION AND POINTS TO VERIFY
Before Each Use
• Check all parts for cracks, deformation, corrosion, wear, sharp edges, burrs and
roper condition.
• Verify proper security of the Rotating Side Plate
• Verify the Swivel Eye rotates freely and is securely connected to an approved
connector
• Verify the Lever engages the cam with the rope
• Ensure the correct rope path in the grab is free of any obstruction.
