HYGIENIC PREPARATION
Switch off the appliance before each cleaning operation and unplug the mains cable from the socket.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
Use only a cloth moistened with antibacterial detergent (non-abrasive and free of solvents of any kind).
COLLECTION VESSEL AND CONNECTION PIPES
• Detach the cannula (16) (NOT INCLUDED WITH THE DEVICE), the manual aspirated flow control (15) and the tube (6b/6d) from the
vessel cap (11). Detach the filter (7) from the vessel cap (11), disconnect the tube (6b/6d) from both the filter (7) and the air inlet of
the device (5), take the vessel from its stand in an upright position and empty it (at home in the toilet, in a hospital in the biological
material container) and clean the vessel, disassembling it as shown below:

Sanitisation
Before and after each use, sanitise the collection vessel and connection pipes by choosing one of the methods as described below.
(method A): rinse individual components in hot drinking water (approx. 40°C) with mild dishwashing detergent (non-abrasive) or in
a dishwasher on a hot cycle.
(method B): soak the individual components in a solution of 50% water and 50% white vinegar. Finally, rinse them thoroughly with
warm (about 40°C) drinking water.
(method C): boil the individual components in water for 10 minutes; demineralised or distilled water is preferable to avoid lime
deposits.
After sanitising the accessories, shake them vigorously and place them on a paper towel, or alternatively dry them with a hot air jet
(e.g. hair dryer).
Disinfection
The disinfection procedure described in this section is to be carried out before using the accessories and is only effective on the com-
ponents to be treated if every point is followed and only if the components to be treated are sanitised beforehand.
The disinfectant must be of the electrolytic chloride type (active ingredient: sodium hypochlorite), specific for disinfection and avail-
able in all pharmacies.
