Gas canisters must be labelled according to the
relevant transport regulations.
Precautions for the fuel cell
Handle the fuel cell carefully and check it for
damage. Damaged fuel cells can explode and
cause injuries.
Always read and comply with the instructions on
the fuel cell.
Store the fuel cell in a well-ventilated area.
Do not expose the fuel cell to direct sunlight.
Do not leave fuel cells in a vehicle or luggage
compartment in which the temperature could
increase. Otherwise, they could explode. Even
a used empty fuel cell still contains flammable
propellant gas, which could expand and cause a
canister to explode.
Do not store fuel cells in an ambient temperature
of greater than 40°C.
The fuel cell contains pressurised flammable
gas. If it is exposed to temperatures greater than
40°C, gas could escape or it could burst causing
a fire.
Do not inhale the gas.
Do not burn or recycle empty fuel cells.
Never spray the gas towards a human body.
Only remove the rubber plugs on the bottom side
of the fuel cell for disposal purposes.
Do not make any holes in the fuel cell, e.g. by
hammering a nail into it.
Precautions for the charger and battery
Only use the battery specified for the tool. Never
connect the device to a power source or to any
other rechargeable battery, a dry cell or a vehicle
battery. Non-observation could result in break-
ages, faults, heat generation or burns.
Charging must be performed with the specified
charger. If charging is performed with a different
charger, malfunctions can occur, or the device
might be damaged, explode or generate heat.
Only charge the battery at the specified voltage.
Never use a charging voltage other than the
specified voltage. Failure to comply could result in
burns or heat formation.
Do not use any transformers such as boosters,
motor generators or DC sources to charge the
battery. Failure to comply will result in a fault or
deep discharging of the charger.
Safety instructions
Do not charge the battery in the rain or in loca-
tions where it might be exposed to spray or mois-
ture. If the battery is charged while wet, electric
shocks or short-circuiting is possible, which could
result in burning and a fire.
Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands. If
you touch it with wet hands, you could receive an
electric shock.
Do not cover the charger with a cloth or similar.
Application of a cover can generate heat,
resulting in deep-discharging or a fire.
Do not place the charger close to a fire or naked
flame.
Do not charge the battery in the vicinity of com-
bustible substances.
Charge the battery in a well ventilated location
and protect it against direct sunlight. Charging in
direct sunlight may overheat the charger, which
could result in deep-discharging or a fire.
Charge the battery in an ambient temperature
range of 0°C to 40°C. If the ambient tempera-
ture is below 0°C to 40°C, charging may not be
permissible because it could result in a fire.
Do not allow any foreign bodies to get into the
ventilation openings or the battery contact socket
of the charger. Otherwise an electric shock or
other malfunctions could occur. Only use the
device in dust-free locations.
Handle the mains cable with care. If you carry
the mains adapter using the mains cable or pull
it out of the mains socket via the mains cable,
the cable could be damaged or cracked, which
in turn could lead to a short-circuit. Ensure that it
does not come into contact with cutting blades,
hot substances, oil or grease. Replace a dam-
aged mains cable with a new cable.
If the battery has been disconnected from the tool
housing, cover it with a sealing cap until it is used
again. To prevent short-circuits, cover the terminal
block (metal part) of the unused battery with the
cap provided with the packaging.
Do not short-circuit the terminal block (metal part)
of the battery. If it is short-circuited, a large current
flows, overheating the battery, which could result
in burning or damage.
Do not throw the battery into the fire. Failure to
comply could result in an explosion.
When connecting the battery to the device, ob-
serve the following to prevent malfunctions.
• Do not place your finger on the trigger.
• Do not press the workpiece contact against the
object.
