5.3 – Firmly connect earth cable to wire feeder (insert
and rotate 90º) and to work piece (Fig. 7). Verify that earth clamp
makes a correct electrical contact on work piece.
5.4 – Position wire coil on holder (see Fig.8):
- Unscrew fixing coil nut (3-Fig.8)
- Place wire coil on coil holder verifying that coil breaking
hole coincides with breaking spindle of coil holder (1-Fig 8)
- Fasten fixing coil nut (3-Fig.8 – Fig.9)
- Rotate 90º and slide coil fixing lever (5-Fig.8)
- Fasten fixing lever screw (4-Fig 8)
- Primarily slightly adjust the coil breakage by means of the adjusting screw (2-Fig.8). Verify that wire coil do not rotate
completely free. Before welding, a correct breakage must be adjusted to avoid accidental unroll of wire turns.

5.5 – Verify the correspondence between the torch
contact tip, torch sleeve (Fig.11) and wire diameter.
5.6 – Wire positioning:
- Position the cable torch as straight as possible avoiding tight bends.
- Open roll pressure levers of wire feed motor (8-Fig 13).
- Manually advance the wire a few centimetres inlet wire guide (7-Fig 13), feeding rolls (6-Fig. 13) and torch (Fig. 11). If
necessary, eliminate sharps of the wire end with a lime to avoid wire jam or damaging of torch sleeve.
