II.2.1
FACTORY FITTED ACCESSORIES
VP – (For well/city water or aqueduct) Pressostatic valve with solenoid
water lock only for models EWNLM that modulates the water flow rate to
the condenser, maintaining the condensation pressure constant. This is
in general useful when the machine is run with a set-point that is much
lower than the design value without adjusting, for the actual amount of
heat to be rejected, the water flow rate and/or the condenser inlet water
temperature. When the well/city or aqueduct water (where allowed in
compliance with the Laws of the states where it is installed) coming into
the condenser has a temperature of less than 15°C (the temperature
differential ∆T for city water through the condenser is inclusive in the
range12 ÷ 18°C); when the water coming into the condenser is less
than 25°C with ∆T less than 12°C (the temperature differential ∆T for
water through the condenser is inclusive in the range 5 ÷ 15°C) the
temperature of condenser outlet water must not however exceed 55°C
(see Functioning limits
The water lock solenoid valve allows the total closure of the hydraulic
circuit on the source side when the compressors are off with
appropriate timing managed from the board (with well/city or aqueduct
water).
ATTENTION: In the EWNLM versions only with KFRC accessory and
pressostatic valve for the control of condensation, the VPS accessory
for EWNLM must be used (with set-up for by-pass valve) instead of VP.
VPS – (for city/well or aqueduct water) Pressostatic valve with solenoid
water lock and solenoid hydraulic valve for by-pass for EWNHM models
only. In chiller operating mode, the solenoid valve is closed. This allows
the water to flow through the pressostatic valve which will then perform
its function of flow rate adjustment. In heat pump operating mode it is
completely opened. This offsets the function of the pressostatic valve.
The water lock solenoid valve allows the total closure of the hydraulic
circuit on the source side when the compressors are off with
appropriate timing managed from the board (with well/city or aqueduct
water).
HPH – The HPH accessory can be installed only on versions without a
circulating pump (both on user and rejection side) and without the VP-
VPS accessory. The accessory consists of the sole adjustment logic for
the management of the cold unit (EWNLM) as the hot water producer, by
inverting the hydraulic circuit. All the necessary components and pipes
to invert the hydraulic cycle are to be set up by the installer. Refer to the
hydraulic layouts at the end of the document.
HPH-CC – The HPH-CC accessory includes the HPH and the VPS to
manage condensation control in summer mode and the bypass via the
solenoid in winter mode. It can only be installed in the versions with no
circulation pump (utility side as well as disposal unit side). The
accessory consists of the sole adjustment logic for the management of
the cold unit (EWNLM) as the hot water producer, by inverting the
hydraulic circuit. All the necessary components and pipes to invert the
hydraulic cycle are to be set up by the installer. Refer to the hydraulic
layouts at the end of the document.
DSP – Double set-point via digital consent (incompatible with the CS
accessory) with Precision option. This must be handled as a special
feature by our pre-sales dept.
CS – Sliding set-point via 4-20 mA analogue signal (incompatible with
the DSP and KEAP accessories) with Precision option. This must be
handled as a special feature by our pre-sales office.
SFS – Soft-Starter Device;
SIL – Silenced set-up with double sound-absorbing panelling;
It is not possible to mount one or more of the following set-
ups/accessories at the same time: PS1, HPH, HPH-CC, KFRC; BT and
KFRC.
N.B. The DSP and CS accessories must be handled as special features
via our pre-sales dept.

II.2.2
ACCESSORIES SUPPLIED SEPARATELY
KVDEV – 3-way diverter valve for handling the production of domestic
hot water.
KFRC - Free cooling kit. The Free-cooling directly uses the cooling
energy available underground (well/city or aqueduct water where
allowed) for summer air conditioning (typically radiant). The accessory
is composed of a plate heat exchanger and on 3-way diverter valve,
which can be connected as per wiring diagrams attached. The device is
dimensioned to function with a maximum water temperature of 16.5°C
(of the source); start-ups can be automatic or manual and typically for
integration to the summer radiant temperature. A "Y" filter must be
inserted at the inlet of the accessory on the source side and on the
system side. This accessory is not a cut-out; it is necessary in order to
guarantee adequate cleanliness of the input water. See attached tables
for pressure drops.
KSA – Rubber anti-vibration mountings.
KFA – Water filter.
KTR – Remote keyboard for control at a distance with rear illuminated
LCD display (same functions as the one built into the machine).
KRIT – Supplementary electric resistance for heat pump managed by
regulation.
KEAP – External air sensor for Set-point compensation (incompatible
with CS accessory).
KSC - Clock board to display date/time and to regulate the machine
with daily/weekly start/stop time bands, with the possibility to change
the set-points.
KRS232 – RS485/RS232 serial converter for interconnection between
RS485 serial network and supervision systems with serial connection to
PC via RS232 serial port (RS232 cable provided).
KUSB – RS485/USB serial converter for interconnection between
RS485 serial network and supervision systems with serial connection to
PC via USB port (USB cable provided).
KRS485 – RS485 serial interface card to create dialogue networks
between cards (maximum of 200 units at a maximum distance of 1,000)
and building automation, external supervision systems or HITECSA
S.p.A supervision systems. (Protocols supported: proprietary protocol;
Modbus® RTU).
KFTT10 – FTT10 serial interface card for connection to supervision
systems (LonWorks® system compliant with Lonmark® 8090-10
protocol with chiller profile).
KISI – CAN bus serial interface (Controller Area Network compatible
with evolved hydronic system for integrated comfort
management (protocol supported CanOpen®).
KMDM – GSM 900-1800 modem kit to be connected to the unit or the
management of the parameters and any alarm signals on a remote
basis. The kit consists of a GSM modem with relative RS232 card. It is
necessary to purchase a SIM data card, not supplied by HITECSA KRS
– HITECSA supervision software for unit monitoring and remote
management. The kit consists of a CD-Rom and hardware key.
Description and fitting instructions are supplied with each
accessory.
II.2.2.1
KFRC accessory
The accessory is composed of a plate heat exchanger and one 3-way
on/off diverter valve (230Vac), without spring return.
The 3-way valve is handled by the unit electronic control: the installer
must set-up a 4x1mm2 cable (F-N-contact ON-earth) for connection tot
he terminal board present inside the electric control board (refer to the
wiring diagram).
