SWITCHMATIC SERIES CONTROLLER
1. GENERAL
Read carefully the instructions before installing this unit. Verify the technical
characteristics of the motor in order to assure the compatibility with the device.
2. DESCRIPTION (diagram A)
The SWITCHMATIC unit is an electronic pressure switch with integrated digital pressure
gauge. It manages the start and stop of a single-phase pump up to 2.2 kW (3 HP) (SW1-
2). The pressures are easily adjustable via the user control panel. Wiring is analogous to
that of a traditional electromechanical pressure switch. It can operate as a differential
pressure or reverse pressure switch. The SWITCHMATIC 2 unit in addition to all the
features of SWITCHMATIC 1 includes instantaneous current consumption reading. This
patented system monitors and manages overcurrent, dry running and fast duty cycles. The
SWITCHMATIC 2 unit in addition to all the features of the single assembly includes the
option to be synchronised with another SWITCHMATIC 2 device managing and protecting 2
pumps operating in cascade with alternating start sequence operation.
3. CLASSIFICATION AND TYPE
According to IEC 60730-1 and EN 60730-1 this device is a sensor control device, electronic,
independently mounted, programming class A and with action type 1B (micro switch-off).
Functional value: I<30%Acquired. Pollution degree 2 (clean environment). Rated impulse
voltage: cat II / 2500V. Temperatures for ball test: enclosure (75ºC) and PCB (125ºC).
4. OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS (diagram C)

- By means of minimum head in the case of the SWITCHMATIC 1/3 unit.
