SWITCHMATIC SERIES CONTROLLER
Note 2:
The SWITCHMATIC 1/3 can only detect the lack of water by minimum working pressure.
This means that the installer must determine the water column of the installation, the
pressure supplied by the pumping device and set the minimum pressure between these
two values. It may also be the case that the pumping system is working off-curve so that
the pump is unable to deliver the minimum pressure because the flow demand is too
high. The SWITCHMATIC 1/3 will interpetrate a false lack of water. If these concepts are
not clear it is preferable not to configure this protection or to install the SWITCHMATIC 2
which determines the lack of water accurately and without difficulty of configuration.
Note 3:
Choosing 'no' (normally open) allows us to place the SW as an auxiliary control element
of the pump suction pressure) and stop it if it does not reach the PStop. It will start again
when the suction pressure reaches the configured PStart.
Example:
- PStop:
0,9 bar
- PStart:
1,2 bar
12. SYNCHRONISATION (SWITCHMATIC 2 ONLY)
The SWITCHMATIC 2 can be synchronised with another SWITCHMATIC 2 unit to manage
and protect two pumps operating in cascade with alternating start-up sequence. To calibra-
te the synchronisation, the following steps must be followed:
1. GO TO ADVANCED MENU:
- In step 2: select E01 on one unit (this will be the MASTER) and E02 for the other unit (this
will be the SLAVE).
- In step 3: select the same offset parameter d.XX. This is the difference between the main
and auxiliary pump start-up pressures or also between the stop pressures.
