17.6. Cleaning the detergent compartment

Clean the detergent compartment (1) if it is dirty or if detergent residues have accumulated.
 Pull the detergent compartment (1) slightly out of the dispenser chamber (Fig. a) and push down the re-
lease button to pull the compartment completely out. (Fig. b).
 Use a rinsing brush to remove detergent residues and limescale deposits from the dispenser nozzles in
the dispenser chamber.
 If necessary, remove the liquid detergent insert (18) (Fig. c).
 Lift up the fabric softener insert (20) (Fig. d).
 Remove the fabric softener insert (20) (Fig. e) by carefully pulling it out of its holder.
 Remove the siphon tube underneath as well.
 Clean the detergent compartment (1) and the inserts with a dishcloth under running water and replace
the liquid detergent insert (18), the siphon tube and the fabric softener insert (20).
 Then push the detergent compartment (1) back into the appliance until it is fully inserted.
17.7. Removing the appliance cover
DANGER!

Removal of the appliance cover must only be carried out by the service department or an
authorised specialist.
 Do not, under any circumstances, make any unauthorised modifications to the appli-
ance or try to open a component and/or repair it yourself. Improper repairs may result
in unforeseeable dangers for the user, for which the manufacturer accepts no liability.
The appliance cover may need to be removed for servicing purposes.
For service/authorised personnel only:
 Loosen the screws of the appliance cover on the back of the appliance.
 To remove the appliance cover, hold the side of the appliance cover and pull it slightly backwards.
Carefully pull the appliance cover upwards.
