Chapter 3. SAFETY
3.1 GENERAL INDICATIONS
It is extremely important to read carefully each part of this chapter as it contains important information on the risks the
operator may face in case of illegitimate use of the machine.
Do not use the machine for purposes other than those indicated in the sales agreement.
Do not allow not authorized personnel to repair or carry out any other type of intervention on the machine
The operator must be aware of the indications that regard him and must be always informed by the department head
of the risks involved in his work.
Eliminate any condition of danger for safety before using the machine and always inform the person in charge of the
department about any possible irregularity in the machine operation.
Do not use the machine when damaged
It is forbidden to tamper safety devices and circuits.
It is forbidden to operate with safety devices off or with fixed guards not installed.
It is forbidden to abandon the machine with the guards dismantled or wrongly assembled.
During operation, the electric cabinet shall always remain closed.
The manufacturer disclaims any responsibility for damage to people or property arising out of failure to comply with
safety norms.
3.2 SAFETY FOR LIFTING AND INSTALLATION
Machine displacement and lifting on transportation means shall be exclusively made as described in chapter 4.
It is essential that transportation and installation operations are carried out by trained staff with proper technical
knowledge and experience in the fields involved.
The work area shall be free from bulk, properly illuminated and a power connection shall be available.
Check, using proper equipment, the electric power distribution line and the grounding.
3.3 USE SAFETY
Do not place hands or other parts of the body near the moving mechanisms or inside powered parts.
3.4 MAINTENANCE SAFETY
Carry out any maintenance or adjustment intervention only after having disconnected the machine (setting to
maintenance condition).
Do not lubricate, repair or adjust machine moving mechanisms when operating.
Any electrical or mechanical adjustment shall be carried out by experienced staff duly authorized to carry out the
task.
Do not place hands or other parts of the body near parts that are not perfectly secured.
3.5 RESIDUAL RISKS
The machine is not considered as having a high level of danger. However, it is necessary to comply with the restrictions
and indications provided below.
Danger of burning!
This danger is generated by the high temperature the
welding bars reach during machining phases.
Do not carry out any operation that originates contact
between hands or body parts with the welding bars without
waiting for the resistances to cool down.
CAUTION!
Before carrying out any adjustment or maintenance operation, follow the "setting to maintenance condition"
procedure (step 6.1).
IT IS FORBIDDEN to carry out any maintenance and/or regulation activity during machine operation.
Guards dismantling shall be entrusted only to maintenance staff properly trained.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to operate the machine without having first set guards back into position (electric cabinet
safety guard).
Check correct position of safety guards previously remove before operating.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to operate without disconnecting power supply.
It is necessary to disconnect power supply before operating inside electric cabinet (unplug).
