OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Using Auto On and Auto Off Together
The auto on and auto off timers can be used at the
same time by first setting one and then the other.
For example, if the air conditioner is running,
you can set the auto off timer to let it run for a set
amount of time before turning off and then set the
auto on timer to turn it back on at a later time.
Or, if the air conditioner is not running, you can set
the auto on timer to turn it on at a later time and
then set the auto off timer to shut it off after running
for a period of time.
Note: The timer will not cycle the air conditioner on
and off indefinitely. The auto on and auto off timers
will function one time and then the air conditioner
will return to regular functioning.
Turning the air conditioner on or off at any time
or changing the timer setting to 0.0 will cancel the
timer settings.
Note:
The Auto-On and Auto-Off timers are separate
functions which do not work in conjunction with
each other. Setting the Auto-On or Auto-Off will
start the internal timer which determines when the
function will engage.
Setting the Auto-On timer for 1 hour followed by
setting the Auto-Off timer for 2 hours results in the
air conditioner turning on 1 hour from the current
time and turning off 2 hours from the current time
resulting in a total of 1 hour of activity. Setting the
Auto-Off timer for 1 hour followed by setting the
Auto-On timer for 2 hours will result in 1 hour of
inactivity.
REMOTE CONTROL BATTERIES
The remote control requires two AAA alkaline
batteries (included). Batteries should be replaced
when:
a) The appliance will beep when the remote signal
is received.
b) Curtains, other materials and direct sunlight can
interfere with the infrared signal receiver.
Battery replacement:
1. Slide the rear cover on the remote in the
direction of the arrow.
2. Insert two AAA batteries following the same
orientation depicted inside the battery chamber
(+/-).
3. Reinstall the rear cover.
4. If the remote control will not be used for
extended periods of time, the batteries should be
removed.
Notes:
• Protect the remote control from high
temperatures, and keep it away from radiation
exposure.
• Keep the control panel receiver out of direct
sunlight.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh,etc) batteries. Clean
the battery contacts and also those of the device
prior to the battery installation. Remove used
batteries promptly.
• The remote operates within a range of 8 meters
(26 ft.) from the receiver located inside the main
appliance. Any obstruction between the receiver
and remote may cause signal interference,
limiting the ability to program the main unit.
