Note: After reversing the door hinge, the door gasket may get loose. Should you notice a
gap between the gasket and the cabinet, gently pull it out to seal the gap. A correct gasket
positioning is the key to prevent refrigerated air from escaping.
OPERATION
1.
Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
2.
Use the thermostat to adjust the temperature.
For TFW8540/TFS8540/TFW8540E
Thermostat 0 – 7
0 - off
1 - warmest temperature
7 - coldest temperature
Recommended setting: 3 to 4
The settings (1 – 3) are generally intended to be used during the winter, and the settings (5
– 7) during the summer. The higher the ambient temperature the higher the setting should
be used.
Note for model TFW8540/TFS8540/TFW8540E: Use the highest setting 7 only to make
ice-cubes or when frozen food is being stored.
3.
Let the appliance operate for at least 3 hour before filling the food.
4.
When not in use for a longer period of time set the thermostat to the 0 position and disconnect the
power plug from the electrical outlet. After unplugging wait at least 10 minutes before plugging in
again.
5.
Defrost and clean the inside of the appliance (9 Cleaning and care).Operation
Preparing the ice-cubes
1.
Fill the ice-cube tray (not included) with fresh drinking water. Do not overfill.
2.
Dry the bottom of the ice-cube tray and place it inside the freezer compartment. This prevents the
tray from freezing to the surface of the freezer compartment.
3.
Set the thermostat to the 7 position and wait for 2 to 3 hours.
4.
To remove the ice-cubes more easily hold the ice-cube tray under the running water.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Before cleaning and maintaining the product, disconnect the power plug from the electrical
outlet.
1.
Remove all items from the appliance.
2.
Defrost the freezer compartment.
3.
Wipe the inside and outside surfaces using a damp cloth.
4.
After cleaning, wipe all parts thoroughly and allow them to dry.
5.
Do not use abrasive sponges or cleaning agents, steel wool, or metallic utensils to clean the interior
or exterior of the appliance.
