Safety information
2.1 Intended use
The RMS2000 radar sensor is used for area monitoring. The product detects
static and moving objects within a defined detection field, even several at the
same time, and triggers a switching signal upon detection of a relevant object. Up
to 4 distance fields can be created as polygons or circle segments. The distance
fields can be assigned conditions that result in triggering of a switching signal.
All measurement data can also be made available over Ethernet via a telegram.
It is planned to provide the data via CAN (protocol: SAE J1939) in future. The
product is operated via the SOPASair software.
NOTE
The radar sensor is approved for operation in countries listed in
the RMS2000 "Regulatory Compliance Information" technical information
(no. 8027932). This document is included with the product. The operation of
the product in other countries can interfere with protected frequency ranges.
Only use the product in countries in which it has been approved.

The LEDs indicate the status of the object detection or evaluation in a field. The LEDs do
2
not indicate the status of the digital output. If the result of the field evaluation is inverted
before being placed on the digital output, this has no effect on the LEDs.
