5 Prior to the initial commissioning of the M2Smart
5.1 Starting up the Mobile Handheld Computer
Before starting up the Mobile Handheld Computer for the first time, please make sure that the rechargeable
battery installed in the Mobile Handheld Computer at the factory is fully charged. Connect the docking station
(if included in scope of delivery) to the mains supply with the included power supply and place the Mobile
Handheld Computer in the docking station.
The rechargeable battery is fully charged when the charge LED lights up green. Now you can start up the
Mobile Handheld Computer.

Only ACD original power supplies and rechargeable batteries
approved by ACD may be used for the operation of the Mobile
Handheld Computer and docking station! The use of components
that have not been approved can cause the destruction of the
Mobile Handheld Computer or the docking station. Do not use the
ATTENTION
ACD-approved components with a third-party device. If the Mobile
Handheld Computer will not be used for a longer time, remove the
rechargeable battery.
The rechargeable battery for the Mobile Handheld Computer is a
lithium ion rechargeable battery pack. Lithium ion rechargeable
batteries can explode if they are subjected to fire or heat. The
rechargeable battery pack may not be taken apart and subjected to

fire or heat (greater than 60 °C/140 °F).
