1 Introduction
The HasciSE backhand scanner is used for mobile data capture, and the integrated 2D scanner can be used
to capture any barcode quickly and easily.
The backhand scanner incl. battery and the docking station
schould not be used in areas subject to explosion.
ATTENTION
Before using the backhand scanner and associated components
near medical devices (e.g. pacemakers), ask a doctor or the
manufacturer of the medical devices.
ATTENTION
When working on machines (especially with rotating parts) there is
a higher risk of injury. The safety instructions of the machine
should be observed.

2 Transportation and Storage
The rechargeable battery for the backhand scanner is a lithium
polymer rechargeable battery pack. Lithium polymer rechargeable
batteries can explode if they are exposed to fire or heat. The
rechargeable battery pack may not be taken apart and exposed to

fire or heat (higher than 60 °C/140 °F).
Do not set the backhand scanner incl. battery, docking station or
power supply near heat sources (heater blowers, etc.) and never
expose it to direct solar radiation, excess quantities of dust or
shocks. Make sure there is no stumbling hazard due to connection
cables or power supplies.
