For your safety.
Read all safety warnings and all
WARNING
instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
Do not use this power tool before you have
thoroughly read and completely understood this
Instruction Manual and the enclosed "General
Safety Instructions" (document number
3 41 30 465 06 0). The documents mentioned should
be kept for later use and enclosed with the power tool,
should it be passed on or sold.
Please also observe the relevant national industrial
safety regulations.
Intended use of the power tool.
The hand-held cordless drill/driver is intended for
screwing in and unscrewing screws and nuts, and for
drilling and screwdriving in metal, wood and plastic as
well as for impact drilling in stone (ASCM18-4 QMP AS
(**)) in weather-protected environments without
water supply using the application tools and accessories
recommended by FEIN.
In environments subject to interference, a reduction of
the operating quality is possible; this can include tem-
porary failure, temporary reduction of the function or
the intended operating behaviour, for the correction of
which intervention by the operator is required.
Drill safety warnings.
Safety instructions for all operations.
Wear ear protectors when impact drilling. Exposure to
noise can cause hearing loss.
Use the auxiliary handle(s). Loss of control can cause
personal injury.
Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces,
when performing an operation where the cutting acces-
sory or fasteners may contact hidden wiring. Cutting
accessory contacting a "live" wire may make exposed
metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the
operator an electric shock.

Safety instructions when using long drill bits.
Never operate at higher speed than the maximum speed
rating of the drill bit. At higher speeds, the bit is likely
to bend if allowed to rotate freely without contacting
the workpiece, resulting in personal injury.
Always start drilling at low speed and with the bit tip in
contact with the workpiece. At higher speeds, the bit is
likely to bend if allowed to rotate freely without con-
tacting the workpiece, resulting in personal injury.
Apply pressure only in direct line with the bit and do not
apply excessive pressure. Bits can bend causing break-
age or loss of control, resulting in personal injury.
Special safety instructions.
Do not use a damaged power tool. Before each use of
the power tool, check the housing and other compo-
nents for damage such as cracks or breakage.
Only use approved batteries. When using non-compat-
ible batteries, the power tool will not start.
Beware of any concealed electric cables, gas or water
conduits. Check the working area before commencing
work, e. g. with a metal detector.
Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on
application, use face shield, safety goggles or safety
glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing pro-
tectors, gloves and workshop apron capable of stopping
small abrasive or workpiece fragments. The eye pro-
tection must be capable of stopping flying debris gener-
ated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator
must be capable of filtrating particles generated by your
operation. Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise
may cause hearing loss.
When working at height, block off the area below the
work area and always secure the power tool and the
workpiece against falling.
Only use the power tool on a stable work surface and
ensure a secure footing.
Secure the work piece firmly. A work piece that is
gripped tightly in a clamping device or vice, is more
secure than if held by hand.
Hold the power tool firmly. High reaction torque can
briefly occur.
