Never charge the battery unattended overnight. Fire
and explosion hazards can result in case of non-observ-
ance.
Do not remove the battery from its original packaging
until it is going to be used.
Remove the battery only when the power tool is
switched off.
Before any work on the machine itself, remove the bat-
tery from the power tool. If the power tool accidentally
starts, there is danger of injury.
Protect the battery against moisture and water. Clean
contaminated battery terminals and power tool con-
nections with a dry, clean cloth.
Remove the battery when transporting and storing the
power tool.
Observe the safety instructions in the manuals of the
chargers from FEIN or the AMPShare partners.
Vibration and noise emission values
The vibration and noise emission values given in these
instructions have been measured according to a meas-
urement method standardised in EN 62841 and can be
used to compare power tools with each other. They are
also suitable for a preliminary assessment of vibration
and noise exposure.
The given vibration and noise emission values rep-
resent the main applications of the power tool.
However, if the power tool is used for other applica-
tions, with deviating application tools or insufficient
maintenance, the overall vibration values and the noise
emission values may differ. This can significantly
increase the vibration and noise exposure over the total
working period.
For an accurate estimation of vibration and noise expo-
sure, the durations when the equipment is switched off
or running but not actually in use should also be taken
into account. This may significantly reduce the vibration
and noise exposure over the total working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the
operator from the effects of vibration and noise
such as: Maintain the power tool and the accesso-
ries, keep the hands warm, organization of work
patterns.
Handling hazardous dusts
For work procedures with this product where material
is removed, dusts develop that can be hazardous to
one's health.
Contact with or inhaling some dust types, e.g. asbestos
and asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing coat-
ings, metal, some wood types, minerals, silicate parti-
cles from materials containing stone, paint solvents,
wood preservatives, anti-fouling paints for vessels, can
trigger allergic reactions to the operator or bystanders
or lead to respiratory infections, cancer, birth defects or
other reproductive harm. The risk from inhaling dusts
depends on the exposition. Use dust extraction
matched appropriately for the developing dust, as well
as personal protective equipment. Provide for good
ventilation of the workplace. Leave the processing of
asbestos-containing materials to specialists.
Wood and light-metal dust, hot mixtures of sanding
dust and chemical materials can self-ignite under unfa-
vourable conditions or cause an explosion. Avoid
sparking in the direction of the dust collector as well as
overheating of the product and the materials being
sanded. Empty the dust collector in good time. Observe
the material manufacturer's working instructions, as
well as the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials being worked.
Starting Operation.
Carry out the following steps each time before using
the product.
– Check the proper condition and operation of the
product.
– Check the tight seating of the application tool.
Operation.
Adjust the rotational direction switch and the gear
switch only when the machine is at a complete stop.
Always push the gear switch through to the stop. Oth-
erwise, the machine can become damaged.
Overloading of the power tool is indicated by the work
area lamp flashing for 5 seconds.
In case of overload, the machine switches off.
To avoid accidental starting, e. g., during transport, set
the rotation selector switch to the centre position.
Electronic torque shut-off
(see pages 10–11).
Adjust the torque only when the machine is at a com-
plete stop.
The torque shut-off depends on the selected torque
characteristic (see operating unit).
The motor switches off when reaching the set torque
and an audio signal sounds (if activated). After the shut-
off has taken place, release the on/off switch and press
it again for the next screwdriving operation.
The audio signal can be switched on and off.
When working in the "
shut-off.
To achieve good working results, press the power tool
with sufficient force against the screw.
The maximum speed is reduced in the lower torque
levels.
Operating unit
Buttons (1), (2) and (3) are used for setting the opera-
tion mode or selecting the torque characteristic.
The selected button lights up green. An audio signal
sounds when pressing a button. Pressing button (2) for
longer than 3 seconds switches the audio signal on or
off.
