– Use only genuine Dräger spare parts and accessories.
Otherwise, the proper functioning of the product may be
impaired.

printed copy from Dräger or the specialist shop.
– Only use chargers, power packs, batteries, or
rechargeable batteries that Dräger has approved for this

Intended use

The Dräger Alcotest
4000 breath alcohol testing device is
used to measure the breath alcohol concentration in a
person's breath. This measurement is used to determine a
person's blood alcohol level. Therapeutic measures should
not be taken on the basis of the findings from this device.

Use
WARNING
Small parts of the device may come loose and be swallowed.
► The device is not intended for children under the age of 3.
4.1
Prerequisites for use
The device is adjusted in the factory before delivery. If the
adjustment date is more than 12 months ago, then the device
must be adjusted, e.g. by DrägerService.
● After the last alcohol consumption, wait for approx.
15 minutes.
● The wait time cannot be shortened by rinsing the mouth
with water or a non-alcoholic drink.
● Residual mouth alcohol or aromatic drinks (e.g. fruit juice),
alcoholic mouth sprays and medicines can falsify the
measurement.
● Burping and vomiting can falsify the measurement result.
