Step 5. Starting Therapy
• Press the Power On/Standby button to turn on the
Controller. Images on the display will blink while
the Controller completes the Garment Detection
procedure and internal checks.
• Wait for the Controller to complete the internal
checks.
If You Are Using Leg Sleeve(s)
• If using leg sleeves, the control panel will show an
image of the limb(s) receiving therapy.
• When the leg sleeve image(s) appear, leg compres-
sion therapy has begun.
If You Are Using Foot Cuff(s)
• If using foot cuff(s), the Controller will beep, displaying a check mark next to the A
and B button(s) corresponding to the foot wrapped with a foot cuff garment.
• When the check mark(s) appear, press the A and/or B button(s) to confirm that you
are using a foot cuff on that limb.
• When the check mark(s) disappear and the controller stops beeping, foot compres-
sion therapy has begun.

Follow your physician's instructions for therapy.
Check Skin Regularly
Check the skin under the leg sleeve(s) or foot cuff(s) at least every 8 hours. Look for
any changes in skin conditions. If you see any changes in skin conditions, remove the
garments and call your physician.
NOTE
You can wear the leg sleeve(s) or foot cuff(s) on bare skin or over light clothing
or stockings.
Remove Before Walking or Bathing
Remove the leg sleeve(s) or foot cuff(s) when you need
to get up and walk or bathe:
• Press the Power On/Standby button to turn off the Controller.
• Unwrap the garment(s) from your limb(s),
• Leave the tubing attached to garments and Controller.
CAUTION
To avoid tripping hazard, do not place power cord, tubing, or Controller in walk areas.
Do not attempt to walk while wearing garment(s).
Be cautious of loose, dangling tubing or cord when attempting to walk. Do not wrap
tubing or cord around neck.
