milk
• 0.6 tsp vanilla ex-
tract
Preparation
Warm the milk on the hob or in the micro-
wave until it bubbles (do not boil).
Chop the chocolate into small pieces and
place in a bowl together with the sugar.
Slowly stir the warm milk into the chopped
chocolate and sugar until the chocolate has
fully melted. Then allow the chocolate mix-
ture to cool.
Add the whipping cream and the vanilla
extract.
Switch on the ice-cream maker and pour
the finished ice-cream mixture into the ice-
cream maker.
You can now turn the ice cream mixture
into ice cream as described in this user
manual. This process takes approx. 50–60
minutes.
Wash the berries and cut into slices. In a
small bowl, mix the berries with the lemon
juice and 1/3 cup of granulated sugar and
leave the berries to macerate in the juice for
two hours.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk the milk and
the granulated sugar with a hand mixer or
whisk at a low speed for around 1–2 minutes
until the granulated sugar has dissolved.
Add the whipping cream, the juice of the
macerated berries and the vanilla extract
to the milk mixture and pour it all into the
ice-cream maker. Add the berries in the last
5 minutes.
Sweeten with sugar to taste and process
further in the ice-cream maker.
A beep will sound as soon as the ice cream
is finished.
