2. Safety instructions

Failure to comply with the safety notes and instructions can cause serious injury
and/or damage to property.
Keep all safety notes and instructions for future reference!
NOTE
When using air tools, basic safety precautions must be followed to eliminate the risks of fire, electric shock
and personal injury.
The information provided in this instruction manual is an important, but not the sole, basis for the safe use
of the machine. The hazards indicated are foreseeable for the general use of hand-held air needle scalers.
However, in addition, the user must evaluate specific risks that may arise as a result of each use.
Residual risks
Even if you operate the machine as instructed, there will always be residual risks. The following hazards may
occur in connection with the design and construction of this appliance:
Hose kickback due to improper handling.
Risk of falling due to compressed air hoses lying around.
Danger from compressed air hoses flapping around.
Reduce the residual risk by using the tool carefully and according to instructions and by following all instruc-
tions. Keep your work area clean and well lit. Disorder and unlit work areas can lead to accidents!
2.1 General safety rules
In case of multiple hazards: The safety instructions must be read and understood before setting, op-
erating, repairing, maintaining and replacing accessories on the nibblers or shears, and before working
near the machine. Failure to do so may result in serious physical injury.
The nibblers or shears should only be set up, adjusted or used by suitably qualified and trained operators.
These nibblers or shears must not be modified. Modifications may reduce the effectiveness of the safety
measures and increase the risks to the operator.
Do not lose the safety instructions - give them to the operator.
Never use damaged nibblers and scissors.
Machinery shall be inspected periodically to verify that it is marked with the clearly legible ratings and
markings required by this part of ISO 11148. The employer/user shall contact the manufacturer to obtain
replacement plates if necessary.
