15. When the equipment only conforms to EN 813:2008, it is not suitable for use for fall arrest purposes. Suspension work
can easily cause pressure on the thighs, so sit harness can be equipped seat plate or other personal fall protection
systems (e.g. fall arrest, rope access, rescue) of protection against effects of suspension trauma. However, our sit
harnesses are integrated and non-detachable, any assembly or reassembly may result in serious injury or death. The sit
harness maximum capacity up to 100 kg, including clothing and tools.
16. Connection to the anchor point and other PPE must be through to the connector that conform to EN 362:2004.
17. The full body harness should be a personal issue item.
18. Before use for the first time, the user should carry out a comfort and adjustability test in a safe place. Make sure the
correct size is used and fully adjustment and is of an acceptable comfort level for the intended use.
19. The full body harness is designed to be used in temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 54℃.
20. The anchor point where the fall arrest system is going to be fixed should always be placed above the position of the user
.and the anchor should conform to EN 795. Never use the full body harness around structures that are of small diameter
or that have small or shape edge.
21. Do not use an anchorage point that will not take a shock load of min 12 kN.
22. Do not anchor with attachment point to a structure that can fall itself. For instance: window cleaner's cradle free standing
ladder or other loose structures.
23. Use caution when working with this equipment near moving machinery, electrical hazards, sharp edges, or abrasive
surfaces, as contact may cause equipment failure, personal injury or death.
24. When more than one Person Fall Arrest System is attached to an anchorage, the anchorage strengths set forth of the
requirement and must be multiplied by the numbers of systems attached to the anchorage.
25. Full body harness is the only acceptable body holding device that can be used in a fall arrest system.
26. The fall protection system must only be connected to the harness anchor points identified with the capital letter "A".
Identification "A/2" indicates the need to join the two points showing the same identification together.
27. For use with fall arresters in conformity to EN 353-1, EN 353-2 it is recommended to connect the equipment to the front
anchor point on the harness. For use with energy absorbers EN 355 or fall arresters EN 360 it is recommended to connect
the equipment to the back anchor point on the harness.
28. Before each use of personal protective equipment, it is obligatory to carry out a pre-use check of the equipment, to ensure
that it is in a serviceable condition and operates correctly before it is used.
29. During pre-use check it is necessary to inspect all elements of the equipment in respect of any damages, excessive wear,
corrosion, abrasion, and degradation due to UV, cuts or misuse, especially take into account webbings, seams, anchor D-
rings, buckles and adjusting elements.
30. The waist belt attachment points which comply with EN 358 need to comply with the instruction to position and/or adjust
the work positioning lanyard in such a way that the anchorage point is maintained at or above waist level, and free
movement is restricted to a maximum of 0.6 m.
31. Thoroughly evaluate and plan all elements of your fall protection systems before using your equipment. Make sure that
your system is appropriate for your needs and facility. Also be sure to calculate fall clearance and swing fall clearance.
32. It is essential to regularly check fastening and/or adjustment elements during use.
33. Do not expose the equipment to any hazard which it is not designed to withstand. Consult VITO in cases of doubt.
34. Store the equipment in a cool, dry, and clean environment that is out of direct sunlight when not in use.
35. Users should strictly follow the cleaning procedures, otherwise the equipment will be damaged, or its lifetime will be
reduced.
36. When the equipment becomes wet, either from being in use or when due to cleaning, it shall be allowed to dry naturally,
and shall be kept away from direct heat.
37. The regular periodic examinations is needed. The safety of users depends upon the continued efficiency and durability of
the equipment. And the periodic examinations are only to be conducted by a competent person and should be strictly in
accordance with the manufacturer's periodic examination procedures.
38. To avoid the risk of strangulation, it is necessary to ensure that the anchor point is above the user and the extension
lanyard length is not exceed 1 m.
