Basic care of all fall protection equipment will prolong the durable life of the unit/system and will contribute toward the
performance of its vital safety function.
Cleaning and Disinfection:
a. The equipment should be washed using neutral detergent (such as laundry detergent) at a water temperature between
30℃-60℃ with cotton cloth or soft brush, instead of acid or alkaline solvent.
b. Rinse with clear water and soak for 30 minutes, then take it out and dry it with cotton cloth.
c. After drying, soak in neutral disinfectant for 30 minutes, and then take it out and hang it in a cool place to dry naturally. Pay
attention not to use hot air for quick drying.
Repair:
a. Any repair shall only be carried out by manufacturer or his authorized representative.
b. The equipment needs to be repaired must be labelled "Not for Use" and removed from use.
c. Repair shall not be carried out on site, but at the place designated by manufacturer or his authorized representative.
Storage:
When not in use, store in a clean, dry location, free of exposure to heat, light, excessive moisture, oil, chemicals, vapors, or
other degrading elements.
Transportation:
The Personal Protective Equipment must be transported in a package that protect it against moisture or mechanical,
chemical and thermal attacks.
The estimated product lifetime is 10 years after date of first use, or, if not relonged, from date of manufacture.
The following factors can reduce the lifetime of the product: intense use, contact with chemical substances, especially
aggressive environment, extreme temperature exposure, UV exposure, abrasion, cuts, violent impacts, bad use or
maintenance.
The legibility of the Product marking must be guaranteed, or the equipment must be withdrawn from use. The required annual
examinations will validate the correct functioning of the equipment. It is compulsory that the equipment is examined by the
manufacturer or his authorized representative at least every 12 months.
