2.3 Symbols used in these operating instructions

Important information is shown in these operating instructions and on the
equipment using symbols and signal words.
Signal words such as DANGER, WARNING or CAUTION show the severity of the
risk of injury. This is visually emphasised by the different triangle symbols.
DANGER indicates an immediate hazard, which, if not avoided, will cause death or
serious injury.
WARNING indicates a potential hazard, which, if not avoided, may cause death or
serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a potential hazard, which, if not avoided, will cause minor or
slight injury.
NOTICE indicates a potential hazard, which, if not avoided, will cause damage to
property.
NOTE gives you additional information and helpful tips for the safe and efficient
use of the appliance.
The following symbols and signal words define the possible hazard more
precisely.
Electric shock
Warns of an electric shock hazard which can cause serious injury or even death.
Risk of fire
Warns of a fire risk with highly flammable materials and products.
Environmentally-friendly disposal
Warns of environmental damage as a result of the improper disposal of the
appliance.
