TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The generators use thyristor regulation for the welding current
control. The generator is designed mainly for welding with cov-
ered electrodes, but has integrated LIFT TIG, MIG/MAG welding
functions with an appropriate 42VDC - 150A supply. The basic of
the control panel is a programmable 8-bit processor which con-
trols the whole welding process, compensates current and volt-
age, controls and ensures the equipment protection and informs
the welder of the current state.
For welding with covered electrodes the generator allows also
manual setting of functions "HOT START" and "ARC FORCE".
HOT START ensures better quality welding arc start. ARC
FORCE ensures the welding steadiness at sudden welding cur-
rent changes.
By the welding with the function "LIFT TIG" the generator automat-
ically configures the optimum parameters for an easy arc start and
steady welding.
For the gouging process (ARCAIR) the function MMA is used.
"MIG/MAG" welding is bound to using of a suitable DEVID ARC feeder.
A further generator function is the 42V DC position. This function
ensures a constant average voltage value of 42V, up to the taken
current level of 150A.

ACCESSORIES

Consult with local distributor or supplier.
1.4

LOAD FACTOR

The working cycle is an indication in per cent of 10 minutes at the
40 °C ambient temperature, during which the generator is able to
weld at the nominal power without overheating. If the unit over-
heats, the current stops and the overheating check light lights. In
such situation please wait for fifteen minutes by the time the unit
cools down. Lower the current, voltage or limit the working cycle
before the beginning of further welding. See page VII - VIII.
1.5

CURRENT-VOLTAGE CHARACTERISTIC

Current-voltage characteristics show the highest voltage and cur-
rent abilities of the generator. See page VII - VIII.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: PRIOR TO CONNECTION, MAKE-READY, OR
USING OF THE EQUIPMENT PLEASE READ THE SAFETY
MEASURES.
2.1
CONNECTION OF THE POWER SOURCE TO THE
POWER SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION
IF THE POWER SUPPLY IS SWITCHED OFF DURING THE
WELDING WORKS, IT MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS DAMAGE OF
THE EQUIPMENT.
Check whether the suply network is equipped with a fuse stated
on the datatable of the power source. All generator models were
designed so that they equalize the changes of the power supply.
By the changes of more than ± 15% of the supplied power the
welding current changes by ± 0.2%.
2.2

SUPPLY VOLTAGE

The generator is dimensioned to two types of power supply. On
the front panel there is a cam switch which serves as a main
switch and at the same time as a selector of the supply voltage
level as well.
The supply cable has to be dimensioned according to table.

4.
By means of a 6mm connecting eye attach guard wire (make
sure the stripping length of the guard wire is by 1/3 longer
than the length of phase conductors see - Picture 1 Page 3.)
