Safety instructions
For best performance of your counting scale, read this manual carefully before operating
or servicing the equipment!
•
Always disconnect the device from the power supply prior to installing, servicing,
cleaning or performing maintenance work to avoid electric shock or damage to the
scale.
•
Do not flush the scale with water. Use a damp cloth to clean the scale or load plate.
•
Do not use acids, alkalis, strong solvents or other chemicals to clean the device. They
corrode the surface of the scale and damage internal devices.
•
The device is a high precision instrument. Maintain the device carefully. Do not place
objects of heavy weight on the scale.
•
Ensure that only authorized personnel opens the device.
•
Ensure that the supply voltage at the installation site is between 100 V and 240 V.
•
Check the power cable regularly for damage. If it is damaged, disconnect the device
immediately from the power supply.
1.2 Power supply connection
CAUTION
Risk of electric shock!
▲ Before connecting the device to the power supply, check whether the voltage
requirements indicated on the rating plate correspond with your local voltage.
▲ Do not under any circumstances connect the device to the power supply, if the
voltage requirements indicated on the rating plate do not correspond with your local
voltage.
▲ Ensure that the scale has reached room temperature before switching on the device.
➜ Plug the power plug into the power socket.
After it has been connected, the device runs a self-test.
The device is ready for operation when zero appears on the display.
