4.9. Back rest
The hardness of the backrest covering can be adjusted to allow for
comfortable seating.
4.9.1. Backrest covering
30
The tighter you adjust the backrest covering, the harder the backrest
will feel. First remove the backrest padding that has been attached with
a hook-and-loop fastener (Fig. 30). Then you can pull the individual
straps so they are tighter or less tight (Fig. 31). To relieve certain areas
of your back, do not tighten the straps there as much. Now the back
cushion needs to be attached with the hook-and-loop fastener again.
4.10. Push handles
31
To make it possible for a companion to push the wheelchair comfortably,
the height of the push handles is adjustable. Loosen the lever screw
(Fig. 32) on the push handle. Pull the tube with the push handle to the
desired height (Fig. 33). The tighten the lever screw again to lock the
push handle.
4.11. Wheels and tyres
32
The spoked wheels are attached with a quick-release axle on the chassis
(Fig. 36). The Pyrolino has quick-release axles as standard (quick release
axles, see section 4.12).
