BLADE PERIPHERAL SPEED: 64 m/sec.
CUTTING SYSTEM: rotary, 1 blade fitting.
HANDLEBAR: with easy vertical and lateral adjustment from the handlebar.
DIMENSION: height 2100 mm; width 720 mm; length 1050 mm.
WEIGHT: 80 kg.
PUTTING THE MACHINE INTO SERVICE
1) Check that the machine has not been damaged in transit.
2) Check the oil levels of the engine, hydrostatic transmission.
3) Check the tyre pressure:
1 BAR front wheels 4.00-8.
4) Rotate the driving handlebar.
5) Assemble the front wheel support and connect the wheel locking-cable (fig. 3-fig.4).
RUNNING IN - CAUTION!!
Change the engine oil after the first 5 working hours.
Check that there are no oil leaks or slack screws, especially those which fix the blade.
After the first working hours adjust both the belt tension of the cutting deck and the brake (fig. 2 n° 1 – fig. 15).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before starting up the engine, always check that:
– the engine oil level is correct, fig. 5 (follow the maintenance manual);
– the oil in the hydraulic motor is at the correct level (fig. 6); the correct level is 12 mm underneath the bottom of
the tank;
– the travel lever is in the idle position (fig. 2 n°7);
– the engine cooling intake grilles are clean (fig. 7);
– air filter is clean, fig. 2 n°15 (follow the maintenance manual).
– the mowing deck is clean;
– the hydraulic motor fins are clean (fig. 8);
– the blades are sharp and firmly fastened in place;
– the screw in the centre of the blade hub is securely tightened (fig. 9)
Fill the fuel tank using a funnel with very fine filter (fig.2 n°14).
STARTING UP THE ENGINE
Push the throttle half way in (fig.2 n°10)
–
If the engine is cold, use the START choke, pumping three times on the little membrane (fig. 7).
–
Switch on the engine, pulling with strength.
– Once the engine has started, turn off the choke and wait for a few minutes to allow the engine to warm up.
N.B. When moving the mower from one place to another, you are advised to keep the cutting deck at the
maximum height setting.
STARTING WORK
Choose the desired cutting height by means of the lever 8 fig. 2. Suitably accelerate the engine and engage the
–
PTO lever (1, fig. 2). Gently operate the forward travel lever (fig.2 n°2) and start work. To stop, leave the
forward travel lever (fig.2 n°7) and the PTO (fig.2 n°1).
– The lever (fig.2 n°2) is used both to choose the work-speed and to reverse. When it is moved back, the
machine moves backwards; always operate it gently.
PARKING BRAKE
To engage the parking brake locking the steering brake levers with the proper lock.
Adjust the brake, using the register, which is located on the lever (fig. 2 n° 12).
USEFUL RULES FOR EFFICIENT USE
1) Never strain the engine: when fumes are emitted from the exhaust it means that it is being strained. Slow down.
2) Do not leave the machine out in the rain.
3) Frequently sharpen the mower blades: the cut will be better and the engine will not be strained as much.
4) Keep the engine at peak rpm during mowing, adjust the speed according to the height of the grass.
5) Keep the grilles above the engine and the cooling fins of the hydraulic motor clean (fig. 7 – 8).
