1.2 EC CERTIFICATION

The EEC Directive 98/37 more commonly known as the
"Machines Directive", lays down the conditions under which
a machine can be put onthe market. The above directive
prescribes that machines can be sold and used only if they
do not endanger the safety and health of people, pets
and property. To certify compliance of the PONYBENCH-
B lift with the provisions of the directive, prior to sale
SPANESI S.p.A. had a sample tested for EC certifi cation
by an authorised institute. The PONYBENCH-B lift, built
in compliance with the provisions contained in the EEC
directive 98/37, has passed the certifi cation test and can
therefore be put on the market without endangering the
safety and health of the user.
The PONYBENCH-B lift is therefore delivered to the client
provided with:

1.3 INTENDED USE

The PONYBENCH-B is a machine designed and built
exclusively for lifting vehicles to the height required and
can be used as a lift in bodyshop spraypainting booths
(only the pneumatic version). It is therefore also suitable
for the lifting of vehicles to the height required to facilitate
sanding and/or other work.
• The PONYBENCH-B must be used exclusively for
the lifting of vehicles in observance of the maximum
capacity specifi ed in themanufacturer's rating plate
• The vehicle to be lifted must be positioned on the
PONYBENCH-B lift with its weight distributed as
evenly as possible.
• The PONYBENCH-B must not be used for washing
ordegreasing vehicles.
• The PONYBENCH-B is not suitable for lifting people

identifi cation plate (Fig. 1A-1B) giving the following
information:
(A) Name and address of the manufacturer
(B) Lift Model/Type
(C) Max. hydraulic circuit pressure in Bar
(D) Lift serial number
(E) Max. capacity in kg
(F) Operating voltage in Volts (*)
(G) Operating frequency in Hertz (*)
(H) Year of manufacture
(I) CE mark
(*) PONYBENCH BEPLUS only
The information given in the identifi cation plate must
always be quoted in any requests for technical support
and/or supply of spare parts
