Do not use leak detectors containing ammonia or other substances that may damage the brass and other
materials of the valve.
Use only permissible leak detectors for equipment used with oxygen.
In the case of leaks from the valve, isolate the cylinder, empty it of its contents, remove and replace the valve and return this to
the supplier/manufacturer.
Never attempt to repair or tamper with the leaking valve.
Repeat all the operations described in the "PRE-FILLING CHECKS" section on the new valve-cylinder assembly, paying maximum
attention to cleanliness of cylinder thread.
Warning
Check that the flow selection knob (13) is set to the "0" CLOSED position.
Always carry out filling operations in compliance with the cleanliness and safety regulations defined in these
instructions. All accessories and tools used must comply with the same standards of cleanliness.
High temperatures must not be reached during filling; temperature must remain below 65°C
Do not tamper with or attempt to repair faulty valves. These must be returned to the supplier or sent to the
retesting centre indicated and certified by the manufacturer. Check for any leaks at each filling.
During use, comply with the cleanliness and safety indications of these instructions for correct use of the gas.

Use

WARNINGS:
A doctor's prescription is required for any type of home or hospital treatment with medical gases except in urgent
cases and emergencies when oxygen may be administered by health sector operators (.e.g. ambulance
personnel).
Before using the valve, remove transport and storage protective packaging.
Inspect hose barb (11) and/or quick-connect outlet (12) for oil or grease.
Never use lubricants

Supply of gas.

Gas may be supplied via the hose barb (11) for connection of the tube (mask) or via the quick-connect outlet (12).

Supply of gas via the hose barb (11).

Before connecting all the auxiliary devices (e.g.: cannula and mask), check compatibility with valve characteristics. Connect the
tube of the mask or other appliance to the hose barb (11) and check correct positioning.
Open the on/off valve (4) slowly, turning this counter clockwise).
Select gas flow rate using the specific flow selection knob (13).
Do not force rotation of the flow rate selection knob (13) or rotate this beyond the "0" position or the maximum
value position.
Shut-off.
To interrupt the flow prescribed by the therapy, turn the flow rate selection knob (13) clockwise to the "0" position.
Do not force rotation of the flow rate selection knob (13) or rotate this beyond the "0" position or the maximum
value position.
Close the on/off valve (4) turning this is a clockwise direction. Do not torque to more than 3 Nm.
WARNING: Products are available with different pre-calibrated flow rates. The unit of measurement of flow rate
on the valves is expressed in nl/min. (normal – litres/minute) of gas supplied.
Pay particular attention during the connection phase as faulty connection to the hose barb (11) may cause leaks
and/or ejection of this, with the risk of accidents.
If the flow selection knob (13) is set accidently or intentionally between two values, the flow delivered may differ
from that indicated.
