after working. Observe the appropriate regulations of the competent
safety authorities.
5.5
Cooling of the welding unit
Set up the REHM welding unit so that there are no obstructions of the air
intake and air outlet. The stated duty cycle of the power components can
only be achieved if there is adequate ventilation (see "Technical Data").
Ensure that no grindings, dust, metal parts or other foreign matter can
get into the equipment.
5.6
Guidelines for working with welding current sources
Only skilled workers or operators who have received appropriate
instruction in the equipment and procedures should be entrusted with
welding work. Always wear protective clothing during welding work and
make sure that no one else who is close by is exposed to any hazard.
Following completion of the welding work, you should leave the
equipment switched on for a few more minutes to allow the fan to
continue to run and the heat in the unit to be dissipated.
5.7
Connection of welding lines/torch
REHM welding equipment is fitted with fitted with rapid plug-and-socket
connections for connecting the earthing cable and the welding torch or
electrode cable. The connection is made by insertion and clockwise
turning. The shielding gas hose is connected to the welding unit using
quick-action connections.
Important!
To avoid unnecessary energy losses during welding, take care to ensure
that all welding line connections are properly tightened and well
insulated.
