WARNING
1. Before each use, check the LP supply hose for excessive abrasion, wear, cuts, or leaks. If any damage is found, call Customer
Service to obtain a replacement supply hose.
2. Always perform the Leak Test (listed below) before using your griddle for the first time, if the cylinder has been changed, or if any
gas supply components have been changed. Also perform this test after the regulator flow-limiting device has been activated, or
after a long period of non-use.
3. DO NOT attempt to connect this griddle to the self-contained LP system of a camper trailer, motor home, or house.
LEAK TESTING THE GRIDDLE'S REGULATOR, VALVES, HOSES, AND CONNECTIONS
1. Ensure the propane cylinder valve and all burner control knobs are turned to the OFF position.
2. DO NOT use smoke or use any type of flammable material in the area during this test. DO NOT use an open flame to
check for leaks. DO NOT attempt to light a burner during leak testing.
3. Ensure the regulator is correctly connected to the cylinder.
4. Open the propane cylinder valve by turning the hand wheel counterclockwise one turn. If you hear a rushing sound,
turn the gas off immediately. This may indicate a leak at the cylinder connection. Disconnect the regulator from the
cylinder. Then, reconnect and perform this step again.
5. Mix up a solution of 50% liquid dish detergent and 50% water. DO NOT use any household cleaner solution.
Household cleaning agents can damage fuel supply parts.
6. Brush the dish detergent solution over the following areas: regulator and cylinder connection, supply hose connection
to the regulator, all LP hoses, and all connections to the burners.
7. "Growing" bubbles that develop on any of the parts or connections indicate a gas leak. If this happens, close the LP
cylinder valve by turning the hand wheel clockwise and retighten connections. Test again.
8. If leaks can not be stopped, DO NOT try to repair. Call Customer Service for further instructions or replacement
parts.
