1.1 Applications
Pumps for lifting and pumping:
- institutional and industrial waste water;
- foul water;
- sewage;
- contents of septic tanks;
- water and sludge from treatment stations;
- flood waters, seawater, brackish water, demineralized water;

In the private and public sectors and industry.
This pump must not be used for drinking water.
Acceptable composition of fluid:
- slightly acid or alkaline
- not more than 1 mg/l chlorine
- addition of mineral oils or greases

3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

When taking delivery of the equipment, check that it has not been
damaged in transport. If anything is found wrong, take the
necessary steps with the carrier.

later time, store it in a dry place and protect it
from impacts and outside influences (moisture, frost, etc.)
Handle the pump with care; never carry it by its power cord - use
the hook provided for the purpose.

4.2 The pump
The pump casing and impeller are made of composite materials.
The motor is kept tight by two mechanical seals, one on the
pumped-fluid side and one on the motor side. The intermediate
chamber contains a coolant (filled in the plant).
For dry-sump installations, the pump is connected by an anti-
vibration sleeve on the suction side and by a flange on the
discharge side.

4.3 The motor
The pump motor is covered by a stainless steel casing to allow
cooling, effected by the pumped liquid.
The motor is overload-protected by PTO probes (24V max., 100mA).
The motor also contains a tightness monitoring probe to report any
infiltration of water into the motor.
Protection index : IP 68
All motors are explosion-proof EE xd II BT 4.
The pump is not protected against explosions if it

5 INSTALLATION
5.1 Electrical connections
The electrical connections and checks should be made by a
qualified electrician and comply with the standards in force.
Make sure that the general electrical installation is in compliance
with standard NFC 15100, and that the line power supply has a high-
sensitivity earth fault breaker (not more than 30mA).
The connections must be made before the pump is lowered into the
sump.
Make sure that the electrical connections are completely protected
from moisture.
The pump may be used in a garden or ornamental pool only when
the pool is not being used for bathing.
Electrical protection of the pump with three-phase motor, either by
circuit-breaker or by control box, is mandatory.
Line power
Use a cable meeting local standards.
• Three-phase: 4 conductors (3 phases + earth)
(see the electrical diagram inside the box).
DO NOT FORGET TO CONNECT THE EARTH.
Additional earthing connection for explosion-proof
installations.
Pump up to 3.5 kW:
connection on top of casing.
Pump between 3.5 < P< 5 kW:
connection on locking head.
Pump over > 8 kW:
connection on top.
