EN
LIFE-THREATENING DANGER
The length of the connecting individual part must not be extended or shortened by adding or taking away a connection element.
Runners may only be used in accordance with established conditions of use and for their intended purpose.
Safety systems, devices or protective equipment that have been damaged or involved in a fall should be taken out of use
immediately and checked by an expert or by the manufacturer.
The runners are a component of personal safety equipment and may only be used by one person.
If a runner has been damaged in a fall or suffered any other damage; if the shock absorber has been ripped out or its protective
cover is missing; if the indicator on the carabiner is visible or the visual and functional check under point 2 has not been carried
out or if there is any other doubt as to the safe usage of the equipment, this should be checked thoroughly by an expert and
repaired as required.
The lifetime of the equipment depends on the frequency of use and environmental conditions. Provided that the visual and fun-
ctional check (3) is carried out, the runners can be used without restriction. The shock absorber and rubber rollers are subject
to ageing and must be replaced after a maximum of 6 years, when stored correctly.

SPEED ATTACH
Combination with ladders from other manufacturers is authorised, provided that the operability of the combination has been
proven in accordance with EN 353-1. For information on compatibility with other systems, contact SKYLOTEC! The certification
relates exclusively to the fall-arrest system. The anchoring of this system has not been taken into account.
2. VISUAL AND FUNCTIONAL CHECK BEFORE USE
2.1 Check for damage, rips, deformations
2.2 Clip out the snap-in hook by activating the release lever.
2.3 Lift the snap-in hook with your finger; if the release lever is not activated, the snap-in hook should move freely and easily.
2.4 Pull/push the rubber wheels on the carabiner simultaneously, the mechanism should move freely and be pushed back into
place by the spring. 4.3mm (SPEED) and 3.3mm (SPEED ATTACH) clear space between the rollers and the housing.
3. USE OF FOLLOW-ON FALL ARREST DEVICES
WARNING: Before using the climbing protection system, ensure you have a secure footing on a platform and, in areas
where there is a risk of falling, fall arrest lanyards (e.g. EN 354 / 355) attached to a suitable anchor point.
3.1 Insert the runners into the rails at the bottom of the ladder
Slide the runners into the guide rail at the relevant end of the fall-arrest rail or to an attachment point in the guide rail and loosen
the safety nuts in the removable end-stop to insert them into the ladder.
The end-stop and the lock pin in the runner prevent the device from being inserted in the wrong direction. The arrow on the top
of the runner shows the correct direction and must always point upwards.
