Patient safety
The design of the medical device, the accompanying
documentation, and the labeling on the medical de-
vice are based on the assumption that the purchase
and the use of the medical device are restricted to
persons familiar with the most important inherent
characteristics of the medical device.
Instructions and WARNING and CAUTION state-
ments are therefore largely limited to the specifics of
the Dräger medical device.
The instructions for use do not contain any informa-
tion on the following points:
– Risks that are obvious to users
– Consequences of obvious improper use of the
medical device
– Potentially negative effects on patients with dif-
ferent underlying diseases
WARNING
Do not modify the medical device.
Modification may impair the proper functioning
of the device which may lead to patient injury.

Intended use

Flow regulator for metering the O or AIR flow in O2

and aerosol therapy in defined increments:
0.1 to 1 L/min
0.5 to 5 L/min
1 to 16 L/min
1 to 32 L/min
For connection to O or AIR terminal units.

For insufflation or inhalation for patients with sponta-
neous breathing with the accessories required for
operation.

Risk of fire
Do not allow the O2 metering valve to come into
contact with oil, grease, or flammable liquids.
Avoid open flames, sparks or other possible
ignition sources.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury and/or device malfunc-
tions
Magnetic fields can negatively influence the
correct functioning of the medical device and
therefore endanger the patient or user.
Do not use the medical device near magnetic
resonance imaging devices (MRI).
