USING THE COFFEE MAKER
First let the water circulate through the coffee maker without adding any coffee, in order to cleanse the
system. Afterwards, rinse the pot, the filter and the filter holder.
Fill the reservoir with water and add the coffee powder according to your taste. Place the cups on the
drip tray and turn on the coffee maker. The appliance will switch off automatically when the process is
complete, and the indicator light will remain on.
CAUTION:
- Fill in the water between the 1 cup level and 2 cups level. Do not overfill the water reservoir.
- After making coffee, wait at least 5 minutes before making other cups, in order to let the appliance cool
down.

Rinse the filter, the filter holder, the drip tray and the cups. The outside of coffee maker can be wiped
down with a damp cloth.
PRINCESS TIPS
- Set the appliance on a sturdy, stable surface.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- The exterior can become hot. Only pick up the pot using the handle.
- Ensure that the appliance is not so close to the edge of a table, counter top, etc., that someone could
knock it over. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge or on the floor, as someone may become
entangled or trip over it. Remember: the appliance contains hot water!
- Do not use the equipment if it is damaged, or if the cord is damaged. Send it to our Service
Department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cord must only be replaced by our service
department using special tools.
- Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or motorial disability,
or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards. Persons responsible for their safety
should give explicit instructions or supervise the use of the appliance.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE
BROWN
GREEN/YELLOW EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour mar-
kings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter E or
NEUTRAL
LIVE
and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
