PRINCESS ONE CUP COFFEE MAKER
BEFORE USING
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic
electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket.
The coffeemaker brews one cup of coffee (125ml), features a convenient permanent filter and has an
illuminated on/off switch.
Set the PRINCESS ONE CUP COFFEEMAKER on a sturdy, stable table or counter where it cannot be
easily knocked over.

USING THE COFFEEMAKER

First let the water circulate through the PRINCESS ONE CUP COFFEEMAKER without adding any
coffee, in order to cleanse the system. Afterwards, rinse the cup and the filter holder.
Fill the reservoir with water and put ground coffee in the filter. Place the cup on the drip tray and switch
on the coffeemaker. Use one full measuring scoop of coffee for an average strength cup.
Note: Because the appliance does not have a pause-and-serve function, do not remove the thermal jar
whilst the coffee is still being brewed.
CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.
Rinse the cup and the filter holder. These parts are not dishwasher-safe. The outside of the PRINCESS
ONE CUP COFFEEMAKER can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
DESCALING
Regular descaling will help prolong the life of the coffeemaker. It is a good idea to descale around once a
month or even twice in households with extremely hard water. You should also descale immediately if:
- the appliance makes gurgling noises;
- it takes longer than usual to brew;
- it still has water in the reservoir after brewing.
Nearly all commercially available descaling products are appropriate for use. The instructions on most
products indicate whether they are suitable. Never use any product containing hydrochloric or sulphuric
acid. These are not suitable for descaling.

PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:

- First allow the appliance to cool down sufficiently.
- Fill the reservoir with cold water.
- Add some descaler to the water as indicated on the packaging
- Switch on the appliance.
- Once half of the water has flowed through, switch off the appliance and let it sit for a
half-hour to allow the descaling agent to work.
- Switch on the appliance again. After all of the water with descaling agent has flowed
through, brew clean water through it three times to rinse away any remaining traces of
descaling agent.
NOTE: Let the appliance cool down for about three minutes in between rinse cycles.
The warranty does not apply to appliances with calcified build-up.
