Operating Instructions

This appliance gets hot during use.
•
DO NOT preheat before adding ingredients.
•
DO NOT fill the cooking crock(s) more than ¾ of the way with food or liquid.
•
DO NOT operate unit on an unstable surface.
•
DO NOT move slow cooker if it is on, warm, plugged in, or contains food. Contents
can become very hot.
•
DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
Make sure the control panel knobs are in the OFF position before plugging the
•
cord into the wall outlet or removing the cord from the outlet.
•
DO NOT turn the slow cooker on if the ceramic crocks are empty.

Place the ingredients in the ceramic crock(s) and then place the crock in the base.
Place the lid on top.
Plug the power cord into the outlet. Turn the control knob to LOW, HIGH, or KEEP

WARM.
When the cooking time is complete, turn the knob to OFF and unplug the power

cord from the outlet.
NOTE: You may also turn the knob to KEEP WARM or LOW to keep food warm or
for serving.

To remove the lids, use oven mitts and lift the lid slightly away from you. This
allows the steam to escape before removing the entire lid. Place the lid on the lid
rest.

For serving, use oven mitts to slide ceramic crocks so that the spoon rests are in
the front.

Allow the ceramic crocks to cool before cleaning. See Cleaning Instructions for
further detail.

Slow Cooking Tips
•
For best results, do not remove the lid during cooking. This will allow the slow
cooker to build up heat and maintain a constant cooking temperature.
Most recipes with meat and vegetables cook for 8-10 hours on LOW or 4-6 hours

on HIGH.
