7.1. Corded operation

Proceed as follows to use the shaver in corded operation:
 Connect the plug on the power adapter to the Charging connection [9] on the bottom of the shaver.
 Plug the power adapter into an easily accessible power outlet.
 Use the shaver as described in the next section.
 After use, disconnect the power adapter from the power outlet and from the shaver.

7.2. Battery operation

Proceed as follows to use the shaver in battery operation:
 Remove the protective cap.
 Press the On/Off button [3] to power the shaver.
 The state of charge will be shown in the Charge display [4] during operation.
 Move the shaver over your skin in circles using light pressures. Always hold the shaver perpendicular
to your skin. You can also stretch your skin using your free hand to make your whiskers stand up.
Please note that your skin may become slightly red or irritated after shaving. This is completely
normal because your skin first has to get used to this type of shaving. It may take two to three
weeks until your skin has become accustomed to the shaver.

After shaving, turn off the shaver by pressing the On/Off button [3].
 Put the protective cap on the Blade system [1] after use.
 Clean the shaver as described in section 8.1 Cleaning.

7.3. Using the Trimmer

You can trim long whiskers or sideburns using the Trimmer [8]. Proceed as follows to use the Trimmer [8]:
 Open the Trimmer [8] by pressing on the bar of the Trimmer [8] and pushing it up.
 Press the On/Off button [3] to power the shaver.

After use, turn off the shaver by pressing the On/Off button [3].
 Clean the Trimmer [8] using the cleaning brush.
 Close the Trimmer [8] by pressing on the bar of the Trimmer [8] and pushing it down.
