Grinding the footshell
Premature wear resulting from damage to the footshell
► Do not grind the footshell.
► Inform the patient.
5.1 Installing the footshell
Tools required:
>
Vice, 704G30 clamping tool, 2C101 footshell replacement tool, flat
screwdriver, T10 Torx screwdriver (see fig. 4 –
1) NOTICE! Proceed carefully during installation.
Do not damage the spacer lug
replacement tool (see fig. 2).
2) Insert a flat screwdriver into the groove
out of the cover cap
3) Unscrew the screws
4) Remove the cover cap
5) NOTICE! Do not damage the plug connection and cable. Do not
pull on the cable.
Pull the plug
(see fig. 5).
6) NOTICE! To protect the pyramid adapter, use the 704G30 clamping
tool.
Clamp the clamping tool
7) Mount the pyramid adapter of the prosthetic foot in the pyramid receiver
of the clamping tool.
8) Pull off the old footshell, if any, according to the section "Removing the
footshell" (see Page 17).
9) Bring the prosthetic foot to maximum plantar flexion (see the instructions
for use of the prosthetic foot).
10) Fold the spacer lug
11) Slide the footshell
12) Insert the tool
13) NOTICE! Do not excessively deform the footshell while pulling it
on. Do not puncture the folds in the footshell with the tool.
Pull the posterior edge
(see fig. 8).
14) Engage the sole
15) Engage the spacer lug
