12. Checklist for start-up
Mounting (see Mounting information)
The encoder has been installed with mounting elements supplied by the Fritz Kübler GmbH com-
pany.
The load on the encoder shaft, as a result of mounting/installation, is kept as low as possible. The
installation dimensions specified for the encoder have been strictly observed. It is also important
to note that the tolerance-compensating elements must be mounted without preload.
Axial and radial offset have been kept to a minimum during installation, so that the specified maxi-
mum values are not exceeded.
The indicated torques for mounting the encoders and the fastening elements have been complied
with.
The shaft tolerances have been complied with so as to ensure the correct fit between the drive
shaft and the encoder shaft.
The connectin cable has bee laid free from any traction and safely secured.
Possible interference due to power lines have been taken into consideration while routing the
cable.
Electronic connections (see data sheet for terminal assignment)
Supply voltage level and polarity have been checked.
Correct polarity and phase of the sine and cosine signal connection.
120 ohm terminating resistor in the signal paths.
